Display relationships

Manager users in the Authors role can display relationships between one document and another.

Note: This can be useful for viewing which documents are linked to orphaned documents.

  1. When the folder tree is displayed select the document.

  2. Select Details & Actions > Relationships.

    The Relationships pane displays the document's relationship to other Panviva documents.

  3. Click Navigate forward through the search results .

    The relationship details display.

    Relationship type

    Description

    Links to

    displays links within the selected document.
    Links can be:

    • To sections or subsections within the same document.

    • Links to other documents in Panviva.

    Links from

    displays documents that contain links to the selected document.

    This shows only Panviva documents that contain links to the selected document.

    My localisations

    Parent document of the selected document.

    Contain reusable content

    shows the name(s) of the reusable content documents that have been inserted into the selected document.

    Templates

    If the selected document was created from a template or a copy of another document, the Templates section displays the name of the template or the original document.

    References

    If the selected document is a Reference document, the References section displays the folder location of the other references.

    Note: A Reference document is a dynamic clone of a document. Updating a Reference document in one location updates the document in all locations.

  4. View details of the relationships.
    When you expand the view for the relationship type, the details for that relationship display.
